The system can also be used for coiling hard-drawn low and high-carbon wires. The main advantage of this type of coiler is the formation of rosette-shaped coils. This is achieved by rotating an inclined turntable at a very low speed beneath each drawing block. Rosette coils are compact and allow easy wire pay-off during subsequent operations.
